Delta Force Guide & Walkthrough

What is Delta Force?

Delta Force is a free-to-play tactical shooter that splits its attention between two very different appetites: the chaos of large-scale vehicle warfare and the tension of extraction runs. Built by Team Jade and published by TiMi Studio Group, it revives the classic NovaLogic name for a modern audience, wrapping its 2035 setting around a three-way conflict in the fictional North African nation of Ahsarah. If you want a shooter that lets you pick your mood — all-out battlefield or cautious survival — this one tries to cover both.

Getting started

Before you touch a match, understand that Delta Force gives you two headline modes. Warfare throws large teams into objective-based PvP with vehicles, capture points, and respawns — think sprawling, loud, and forgiving. Hazard Operations is the extraction mode: you bring gear in, fight both AI and other players, and try to reach an exit with your loot intact. Lose the run and you lose what you carried.

Your first real decision is which operator to play. The roster splits into four archetypes:

  • Assault — front-line damage and pushing power
  • Support — healing, ammo, and keeping the team alive
  • Engineer — vehicles, gadgets, and anti-vehicle work
  • Recon — scouting, spotting, and ranged precision

Start with Support or Assault in Warfare. They teach you positioning and team play without punishing you for every mistake. Only move into Hazard Operations once you’re comfortable with the gunplay and map flow — extraction modes are far less forgiving, and losing gear you paid for stings.

The campaign, inspired by Black Hawk Down and Operation Gothic Serpent, is a good solo or co-op warm-up. It gives you a controlled environment to learn weapons and recoil before you face real players.

Tips for beginners

  1. Play Warfare first. Its respawns and larger teams let you make mistakes cheaply while you learn the maps.
  2. Pick one operator and master it. Spreading yourself across the roster early slows your learning curve — depth beats breadth.
  3. Learn what each archetype does for the team. Knowing when to heal, revive, or spot is often more valuable than raw aim.
  4. Don’t over-equip in Hazard Operations. Going in with your best gear on an unfamiliar map is how you lose it. Start light, extract, then upgrade.
  5. Use the campaign as a training ground. It’s the safest place to practice recoil control and weapon handling.
  6. Play your role, not just your gun. Engineers should deal with vehicles; Recons should feed information. Ignoring your kit wastes your pick.
  7. Extract early when you’re ahead. In Hazard Operations, a full backpack isn’t worth losing everything for one more fight.

Is it worth playing?

Yes, with realistic expectations. Delta Force being free-to-play means there’s no cost to trying it, and the two-mode structure gives you real variety — a big-battle shooter and an extraction game under one roof. Its 2035 Ahsarah setting and the GTI-versus-Haavk-versus-Ahsarah Guard conflict give the modes a coherent backdrop, and the Black Hawk Down campaign is a solid extra. It isn’t the most polished tactical shooter on the market, but the value on offer is genuinely hard to beat. If you enjoy team-based shooters and want both scale and tension, it’s an easy download.
